There are many practices of gratitude. It is important to note that gratitude is a feeling. You need to activate it to open the portal for life’s blessings to flow through.
Gratitude is not a mental activity where you list what you are thankful for.
It is easy to connect with the feeling of gratitude when things are moving smoothly in your life. However, it can be challenging when you are having a hard time.
Here are three steps to connect with the feeling of gratitude. It is better to use a journal to do this exercise.
1. Ask yourself what feels good in your life right now. Scan your entire life to tap into an experience/people/ things that bring joy to your being.
2. As an example: your kids. You can go in memory of when they were born. You feel this feeling and let it vibrate in your body.
In this way, you activate the feeling of gratitude by tapping into a memory. Then, you detach from the memory and enjoy the frequency of gratitude.
If you are feeling down, start with something small, like a cup of coffee and start building the feeling up.
You can continue tapping into different memories until the elevated feeling of gratitude vibrates in your whole being.
3. Meditate and go to the void. From this space of nothingness, tap into your ultimate reality.
Ask yourself, what is happening in my ultimate reality? Then, focus on the vibrations and feelings and breathe them into your body.
The only reward you want from this exercise is to feel good. Take your mind off this exercise and enjoy the feeling of gratitude without attachment to any outcome.
